Staff Software Engineer - Platform (AI)

Location: Remote in the USA; US Citizenship or Greencard required

Salary: $230,000–$270,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and develop foundational components and frameworks for an Agentic AI platform.
• Create platform solutions that enable developers to build applications across multiple products and engineering teams.
• Build infrastructure supporting machine learning workflows and efficient enterprise execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and machine learning engineers to define platform requirements.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability challenges.
• Stay current with platform, framework, and systems design patterns and technologies.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or Greencard required due to US Government contract requirements.
• 8–10+ years of software and platform engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Rust and experience designing high-performance systems.
• Experience building platform infrastructure and backend systems for multiple products and engineering teams.
• Expertise in distributed databases, storage and indexing systems, data modeling, schema design, and high-throughput, low-latency data access.
• Experience supporting AI and machine learning workloads, plus familiarity with workflow engines, execution runtimes, or AI orchestration frameworks.

Nice to have

• Startup or 0→1 product experience.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
