What you will do

  • Design research strategies to identify causal regulators of cellular state, aging, regeneration, and disease biology.
  • Develop, benchmark, and validate in vitro and ex vivo disease cell models.
  • Scale assays to screen candidate interventions and support data-driven prioritization of candidates and models.
  • Design, conduct, and interpret rodent in vivo studies and compare findings with in vitro results.
  • Investigate mechanisms of action to prioritize therapeutic targets and modalities.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary projects, integrate multidimensional datasets, and communicate research results.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology, Cell Biology, Physiology, or a related field, with 0–3 years of post-PhD experience.
  • Track record of investigating complex age-associated disease mechanisms, including kidney, lung, liver, or skin indications.
  • Experience developing and validating cell-based disease assays and benchmarking assay performance.
  • Hands-on experience designing and performing rodent in vivo disease assays.
  • Strong professional writing, presentation, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a dynamic environment and manage ambiguity.

Nice to have

  • Background in aging biology, regeneration, fibrosis, inflammation, metabolic disease, neurodegeneration, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Experience with mechanisms of action for gene targets, small molecules, peptides, or other biologics.
  • Experience optimizing high-throughput screening or functional genomics assays.
  • Experience with chronic disease models involving the lung, kidney, liver, or endothelium.
  • Experience in computational biology and bioinformatics.
