Hedge Fund Client Support Associate (Investment Accounting)

Salary: $54,000.00–$70,000.00 annually; the stated range is for New York and may vary by geographic location.

What you will do

• Manage client inquiries across investment accounting, asset classes, and financial markets.
• Provide accurate information on financial statements and analytics reporting.
• Complete account setup, client lockdown, compliance, and reconciliation validation tasks.
• Validate investment data against third-party market data and reconcile investment transactions using internal tools.
• Build client relationships, prioritize workflows using productivity and quality metrics, and resolve complex queries.
• Contribute to long-term projects and assist with training, coaching, and oversight of junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial statements, amortization, and interest income.
• Familiarity with accounting, compliance, risk, performance, and analytics reports.
• Intermediate understanding of fixed-income and equity investments; basic knowledge of alternative securities is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office, documentation, communication, organizational, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
