Forward Deployed Security Engineer - US Government

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site at an office. Travel to customer sites may be required, with 25% travel preferred depending on location.

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) approvals for hirify.global software across multiple government customers.
• Interpret NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and other regulatory requirements into actionable technical requirements.
• Produce security documentation and evidence artifacts, including System Security Plans and architecture diagrams.
• Design security architectures across Linux, Kubernetes, multi-cloud, SIEM, and SOAR environments.
• Represent hirify.global in government assessments and audits while providing cybersecurity expertise.
• Partner with Business Development, technical operations, executive leadership, developers, system engineers, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active U.S. DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance and willingness to upgrade and maintain a higher level of access.
• Proven cybersecurity experience in a US Government context.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and managing enterprise infrastructure and security solutions.
• Experience with authentication, encryption, networking, vulnerability scanning, and audit logs.
• Ability to integrate security-as-code and automated compliance gates into CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
