Data Analyst I (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Europe

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and own analytical metrics and dashboards for leadership and operating teams.
• Analyze transaction, customer, and credit data across credit risk, fraud, AML, portfolio performance, unit economics, and growth.
• Build data workflows, automations, and pipelines using SQL and Python or similar tools.
• Partner with Risk, Product, Growth, Finance, and Compliance leaders on high-impact initiatives.
• Turn ambiguous business questions into clean data, reliable metrics, and actionable insights.
• Own business-critical compliance reporting for the Risk team.

Requirements

• Excellent SQL skills, including reasoning about query performance.
• Strong Python or similar programming skills for data workflows and automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, tables, schemas, and joins.
• Ability to define meaningful measurements and produce clear, reliable analytical outputs from ambiguous problems.
• AI-first approach to building practical applications with generative AI and LLMs.
• Strong ownership, business judgment, curiosity, and high standards for clarity and correctness.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of experience in analytics, data, or technical roles.
• Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or financial services.
• Background in credit, fraud, risk, or financial analytics.
• Experience with statistical or data science libraries.
• Experience with LLMs or AI-assisted analytics and automation workflows.
