DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco office; on-site

Salary: $183K–$248K annually plus equity

hirify.global is building an AI hardware engineering platform that turns natural-language prompts into manufacturable circuit boards.

What you will do

• Improve the reliability, availability, and operational health of production systems supporting billing, authentication, onboarding, and integrations.
• Define observability standards for metrics, logs, and errors across services.
• Set SLOs and SLIs, design alerting strategies, and improve on-call readiness and signal quality.
• Partner with engineers to design resilient systems and reduce operational risk.
• Build internal tooling for safer systems, faster debugging, and improved developer velocity.
• Manage infrastructure with Pulumi across GCP, AWS, and Firebase.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production operations.
• Experience operating and scaling production systems against uptime and latency goals.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Datadog and Sentry.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs, building alerting strategies, and responding to incidents.
• Proficiency with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native or serverless platforms including GCP and AWS.
• Strong cross-system debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed cloud tracing across Datadog, Sentry, and GCP tracing.
• Familiarity with Cloud Run, Firebase, Lambda, and other containerized or serverless workloads.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, and React, or willingness to learn them.
• Experience supporting AI-powered systems, high-variance workloads, or startups during rapid growth.
