Senior Software Engineer JVM (Java/Kotlin)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize Java/Kotlin backend components for hirify.global's ETL platform.
• Build scalable solutions for large-scale data ingestion, processing, and analysis.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs and optimize relational database and distributed-system interactions.
• Design modular, maintainable architectures that ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with DevOps and data engineers on CI/CD, deployment strategies, data models, and query optimization.
• Lead code reviews, testing practices, and knowledge-sharing sessions while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin for backend development.
• Experience with relational databases, API development, distributed systems, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of SOLID, separation of concerns, DRY, design patterns, and maintainable, testable code.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and risk mitigation skills.
• Ability to define and document technical specifications while balancing feature development and technical debt.
