Integration Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Cambridge, UK; hybrid

Salary: £65,000–£80,000 per year, depending on experience

hirify.global develops quantum error correction technology and the Deltaflow quantum error correction stack for quantum computing applications.

What you will do

• Design and build embedded software components that support seamless deployment of the quantum error correction stack to partners.
• Integrate the QEC stack into advanced quantum computing systems.
• Develop test infrastructure to verify and benchmark whole-system correctness and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Quantum Science teams to understand system requirements and constraints.
• Work with external customers, including onsite integration work, to deploy Deltaflow into customer environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong professional experience developing production Python tools or applications and released production-grade C++ software.
• Knowledge of modern C++ features, including memory management, multithreading, and STL libraries.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, clean code, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience developing embedded software or testing hardware devices, ideally with serial, UART, I2C, or TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with source control, continuous integration, unit testing, and Python scripts or test harnesses.

Nice to have

• Experience working with external customers during system deployment or ongoing support.
• Experience deploying and verifying production software on customer systems or environments.
• Prior quantum computing knowledge; this is not required and can be learned in the role.
