Embedded Systems Engineer II (Cybersecurity)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid, 2–3 days per week in the office. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Salary: £39,000–£53,000 GBP base salary per year, plus bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Develop software across embedded platforms and contribute to new products, capabilities, and R&D prototypes.
• Validate hardware, perform board bring-up, and collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to prove new designs.
• Develop and maintain board support packages for secure hardware platforms.
• Integrate and test embedded software, firmware, and hardware end to end, including functional and performance testing.
• Build automated hardware tests using Python and pytest.
• Maintain open-source projects including the Linux kernel, Yocto, and AOSP, including upstream bug fixes and porting updates to company BSPs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including C, C++, and Python.
• Understanding of concurrency, networking, performance measurement, algorithms, and other core computer science concepts.
• Practical experience with development boards such as Raspberry Pi or Arduino and/or embedded systems and IoT devices.
• Experience building and debugging the Linux kernel.
• Collaborative and independent working style with strong interpersonal skills.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom is required.
