Deputy Chief Compliance Officer

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters. Daily office presence is required Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with periodic attendance on Tuesday or Friday. This is not a remote role.

Salary: $262,700–$350,200 per year.

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the global Ethics & Compliance program and translate strategy into work plans, budgets, metrics, dashboards, and execution.
• Lead global ethics reporting and whistleblower channels, including case intake, triage, escalation, documentation, vendor oversight, analytics, and retaliation prevention.
• Oversee investigations involving conduct violations, bribery and corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, retaliation, third-party misconduct, and trade, privacy, data, or technology compliance concerns.
• Manage the global anti-bribery and anti-corruption program, including third-party due diligence, gifts and hospitality controls, government interactions, transaction diligence, monitoring, and remediation.
• Oversee compliance training, communications, onboarding, awareness campaigns, and programs for higher-risk functions, geographies, and employee groups.
• Lead compliance professionals, advise senior leaders, prepare executive and Board-level reports, and coordinate governance across Legal, Audit, HR, Finance, Security, Privacy, Trade, Data, and Technology functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a Juris Doctor or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in ethics and compliance, legal, investigations, risk management, or a related field.
• Significant experience overseeing a global or multinational compliance program, including investigations, ethics reporting, anti-corruption, training, governance, metrics, and executive reporting.
• Experience managing and developing compliance professionals, influencing senior leaders, and collaborating across functions and geographies.
• Strong executive presence, judgment, communication skills, discretion, objectivity, and experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
• Must work onsite in San Jose with regular office attendance; this is not a remote role.

Nice to have

• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, or comparable certification.
• Experience in a multinational technology, manufacturing, or highly regulated company.
• Experience with international trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, customs, antiboycott requirements, privacy, data protection, or data governance.
• Experience with artificial intelligence governance, responsible AI, algorithmic risk, or emerging technology compliance.
• Familiarity with compliance technology, case-management systems, data analytics, automation, and technology-enabled monitoring.
