What you will do

• Conduct research into the biology and mechanistic basis of cellular programming for health and rejuvenation.
• Develop project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, and procedures.
• Carry out research projects in collaboration with the principal investigator.
• Support and manage internal and external collaborations across multidisciplinary projects.
• Mentor graduate students and help train scientists and technicians.
• Contribute to writing and disseminating research results.

Requirements

• PhD and a documented record of professional achievement demonstrated through impactful publications.
• Advanced proficiency with Google apps and Excel, including PowerPoint skills for creating documents and presentations.
• Strong professional writing, presentation, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, lab members, faculty, outside agencies, collaborators, and the community.
• Ability to work productively in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, manage ambiguity, and maintain attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Training in epigenetics and epigenetic modifications.
• Experience with metabolism, metabolomics, adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, or liver metabolism.
• Experience in stem cell biology, animal models, single-cell analysis, or animal disease models.
• Experience with screening platforms, small molecules, CRISPR/Cas systems, RNAi, or gene delivery systems such as AAVs.
• Background in tissue crosstalk.
