Principal Software Applications Engineer (SAP BRIM)

Salary: $126,400–$226,490 base salary annually; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and deliver scalable, maintainable enterprise applications and extensions within SAP S/4HANA focused on BRIM.
• Provide technical expertise during requirements gathering, solution design sign-off, configured-solution demos, and final UAT sign-off.
• Modernize legacy solutions using ABAP Cloud, CDS, RAP, APIs, and Clean Core extensibility.
• Work with integration and reporting tools to ensure reliable system-to-system communication.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, automated testing, performance analysis, and code-quality reviews.
• Prepare technical specifications, configuration documents, test plans, and other feature documentation while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with SAP application development and implementation.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms such as SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP BRIM, including SOM and CI modules, and strong knowledge of S/4HANA functional domains such as Finance or Order-to-Cash.
• Experience with technical documentation and coordinating application enhancements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across IT and business teams using Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
