Payments Performance & Optimization Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the operational health and performance of payment partners in Mexico across cards and alternative payment methods.
• Monitor approval rates, latency, transaction quality, settlement accuracy, and partner performance.
• Serve as the technical and analytical interface with partner teams, supporting integrations, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Analyze large datasets to improve payment flows, routing logic, retries, anomaly detection, and operational processes.
• Lead root cause analysis and preventive actions with partners and internal teams.
• Define operational KPIs, build dashboards and automated reporting, and provide insights to Product, Finance, Growth, and Commercial teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services, including cards, wallets, acquiring, or payment providers.
• Strong analytical and technical background with SQL, Excel, BI tools, or similar data technologies.
• Experience monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance.
• Ability to work closely with Engineering, Product, and API teams and resolve complex issues.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
• Advanced English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, or advanced analytics to payments or operations.
• Knowledge of authorization, routing, retries, tokenization, and other payment optimization strategies.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
• Automation or scripting experience with Python or similar technologies.
• Relationship management experience with acquirers, issuers, card schemes, and payment partners.
