Strategic Payments Leader (Fintech)

Location: Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines; onsite

What you will do

• Define and execute a unified global payments strategy aligned with company growth.
• Build and lead a payments organization across three international offices.
• Own funding, disbursement, settlement, reconciliation, chargeback, return, and exception workflows.
• Manage acquiring banks, payout providers, card networks, and alternative payment partners.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Engineering on regulatory controls, fraud prevention, and scalable payment infrastructure.
• Drive new payment methods, cross-border expansion, payout speed, and cross-currency settlement improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or regulated financial services.
• At least 1 year of accounting exposure and strong practical ledger knowledge, including debit and credit entries.
• Experience building and managing full-cycle AP/AR workflows involving complex multi-party settlements and milestones.
• Experience managing payments operations teams and client money or similar regulated fund-holding environments.
• Ability to manage risk in high-value transactions and influence customer success, product, finance, and compliance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with escrow, marketplaces, or trust-based financial products.
• Experience operating in multi-currency, high-value transaction environments.
