Principal Systems Developer - DevSecOps

Location: Onsite at hirify.global headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $144,000–$205,000 USD annual base compensation, plus a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

What you will do

• Design technical solutions for the next-generation cloud-native database platform and existing hirify.global database products.
• Implement DevSecOps enhancements covering configuration, security, monitoring, licensing, and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain solutions for Kubernetes cloud environments and traditional on-premises deployments.
• Write product changes, automated tests, documentation, and code that follows source-control and review workflows.
• Respond to technical questions from support specialists and sales engineers about product behavior and best practices.
• Collaborate with cloud core, kernel, security architecture, managed services, and HealthShare Operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience hardening applications and backend systems.
• 7+ years of experience with Python, Go, Java, or a similar programming language.
• Mastery of Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, and network security concepts, protocols, and tools.
• Experience with C/C++, Go, YAML, ObjectScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and hirify.global IRIS.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools and agentic coding assistants such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Tabnine.
• College degree in engineering or computer science, with the ability to work effectively in a self-driven small-team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and managing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with system control theory, OTel, observability platforms, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, ObjectScript, C/C++, Bash, or similar shell technologies.
• Graduate degree with 10+ years of experience.
