Manager, DevSecOps

Location: Houston, TX; generally an office environment

What you will do

• Develop and execute the DevSecOps strategy, roadmap, team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Lead, mentor, and manage DevSecOps engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, containerized platforms, and infrastructure automation across multiple environments.
• Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and automate security testing, code scanning, and compliance validation.
• Oversee SAST, DAST, SCA, container and image scanning, secrets detection, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
• Coordinate with engineering, security, infrastructure, compliance, and leadership stakeholders on delivery status, risks, and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with build automation, continuous integration, configuration management, software verification, deployment, and CI/CD for embedded devices and RTOS.
• Experience with secure AWS, Azure, or GCP environments; hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure; cloud security controls; and monitoring.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, secure configuration hardening, IAM, Linux, incident response, and recovery processes.
• Access to export-controlled technical data may require eligibility screening under NASA regulations, ITAR, or EAR; meeting these requirements is a condition of employment. Evening and weekend work may be required for critical project milestones.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or high-security environments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP, ITAR, or EAR standards and regulations.
• Experience optimizing developer experience through DevSecOps tooling.
