What you will do

• Lead mechanical design and development of a high-volume, high-power energy conversion product from concept through deployment.
• Design thermal management systems, structures, enclosures, harnessing, packaging, and power-electronics integration.
• Author requirements and integrate mechanical systems with grid infrastructure and overall system architecture.
• Perform CFD, FEA, thermal, and other mechanical analyses to validate performance and reliability.
• Select materials and components and collaborate with suppliers and vendors on cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a mechanical engineering team while owning project goals and timelines.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing, prototyping, and launching mechanical systems for medium- to high-volume production.
• Experience with power conversion or energy storage products and high-voltage electronics, including insulation and thermal systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and analysis tools including CFD and FEA.
• Ability to develop engineering tools, infrastructure, and design practices for a growing team.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
