Supervisor, Encounter Data Management (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $65,000–$88,600 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop business processes for successful Medicaid and Medicare encounter submission and reconciliation.
• Analyze encounter data to meet compliance standards and improve acceptance rates.
• Build tools and identify long-term improvements to encounter submission processes.
• Make decisions on schedules, plans, and daily operations.
• Handle escalated and complex issues and provide guidance to support and technical associates.
• Ensure consistent execution and accountability across the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Medicare and/or Medicaid claims processing experience.
• Experience with internal and external error claim processing.
• 2+ years of formal or informal leadership experience.
• 1+ year of experience with CAS, Edifecs, Optum, or similar DOS 835/837 warehouse systems.
• 2+ years of advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros, plus 1+ year of SQL experience running queries.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States and maintain a dedicated workspace that protects member PHI and HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ year of experience in encounter submissions.
• Six Sigma or Project Management certification.
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience.
