Strategic Sourcing Manager (Manufacturing)

Salary: $155,000–$185,000 per year, plus Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and evaluate the Category Manager team.
• Maintain a consolidated portfolio risk register covering single-source exposure, lead-time bottlenecks, and supplier financial concerns.
• Develop and improve sourcing playbooks, including RFI/RFQ/AVL qualification, Kraljic category frameworks, and supplier scorecards.
• Establish negotiation governance, deal sign-off thresholds, escalation paths, and contract redline standards.
• Prioritize sourcing capacity across spend categories and enforce boundaries between strategic sourcing and material planning.
• Present category strategies, savings metrics, and supply constraints to executive leadership and monthly S&OP reviews.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Direct people-management experience leading a sourcing or procurement team in manufacturing, industrial hardware, or electrical equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing and scaling sourcing governance, process playbooks, and team development structures.
• Expertise in complex contract negotiation, including liability caps, force majeure, and delivery commitments.
• Strong portfolio risk management, category segmentation, and financial modeling skills.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration or another relevant advanced degree.
• Experience scaling sourcing teams in high-tech infrastructure, power systems, data centers, or modular manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Acumatica or a similar ERP system.
• CPSM or another professional supply management certification.
