AI Engineer

hirify.global is building an autonomous AI Production Engineer that investigates and fixes complex production and system issues end-to-end.

What you will do

• Develop AI-powered workflows and production-ready AI models for production engineering and reliability use cases.
• Build and optimize high-volume data pipelines for structured and unstructured data used in training and evaluation.
• Design benchmarks to evaluate model performance and reduce compute costs.
• Fine-tune and train large language models.
• Research reinforcement learning, retrieval-augmented generation, autonomous reasoning, and multi-agent techniques.
• Translate research into scalable AI-powered solutions in collaboration with engineering and research contributors.

Requirements

• Deep experience with foundation models such as GPT-4, Llama, or Gemini, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and optimization.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, or C++, with experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, or search.
• Understanding of transformers, deep learning, and self-supervised learning.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with RLHF or RLCEF.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation or multi-agent AI systems.
