AI Product Manager

Location: Watertown, Massachusetts, United States, or remote within the United States

Base salary: $154,084.36–$263,131.83 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus and stock options.

What you will do

• Lead development of external-facing AI platforms for biological design.
• Develop field-relevant benchmarks for agentic tasks in biological design.
• Build AI-driven workflows integrating models, data systems, and experimental feedback.
• Translate scientific and clinical questions into production-ready APIs, pipelines, and user-facing tools.
• Work with wet-lab teams to test and refine computational outputs through experiments.
• Identify opportunities for AI to improve biological design and move prototypes into reliable production systems.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong software development practices, including version control, testing, deployment, and security.
• Experience building, maintaining, and scaling backend systems or APIs in production.
• Experience contributing to production-grade data and AI-driven applications.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work in Watertown, Massachusetts, or remotely within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, agent-based systems, or modern AI workflows.
• Experience working cross-functionally with experimental teams.
• Strong Python expertise.
