Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; some telecommuting is permitted

Salary: $141,104–$195,000 per year base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers depend on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports.
• Identify data patterns, trends, anomalies, and insights that support operational improvements.
• Translate business objectives into technical data requirements and align solutions with stakeholder needs and platform standards.
• Develop insight-driven tools, Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions while supporting functionality and data integrity.
• Create presentations, written summaries, visualizations, and data stories with actionable recommendations.
• Document data provenance, ETL logic, and code, and collaborate cross-functionally with global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in the offered role or a business analyst-related occupation.
• At least two years of experience using Alteryx for automated workflows and ETL, Power BI for dashboard development and validation, Microsoft Excel, and team leadership or mentorship.
• Experience with Snowflake, Presto, and Oracle querying tools; Agile methodologies, Jira administration, and project management.
• Experience maintaining data models, datasets, and dashboards, and identifying standardization and simplification opportunities.
• Knowledge of Python data cleaning and preprocessing, statistical techniques, data visualization, and data storytelling.
