Senior Python Engineer (m/f/d) - Network Planning

Location: Hybrid work model with office-first attendance; work from another location for up to 60 days per year depending on the role.

What you will do

• Own and evolve backend APIs, use cases, domain models, serialization, and Kafka-based event-driven pipelines.
• Design architectural scaffolds for new product modules using Domain-Driven Design, hexagonal architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud resources, and Terraform infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Operations Research Engineers to integrate mathematical optimization algorithms into the product.
• Build AI capabilities by combining LLMs with the optimization engine and use code agents or AI assistants in daily development.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, testing, code reviews, documentation, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or equivalent academic background.
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with Python.
• Production experience with clean architecture, hexagonal architecture, ports-and-adapters, DDD, or similar approaches.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka or similar event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS or similar cloud platforms, and Terraform.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies and readiness to handle basic frontend tasks.
• Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing, plus strong daily use of code agents or AI assistants.

• Familiarity with mathematical optimization or data-intensive applications.
