Technical Planning Analytics Analyst (Contract)

What you will do

• Support users of the IBM Planning Analytics finance planning platform during annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Administer the application, set up users, maintain documentation, support Excel-based reports, resolve user queries, and deliver end-user training.
• Partner with FP&A and technical teams to define and implement platform improvements.
• Gather requirements, prepare test cases, perform unit testing, document changes, and support user handover.
• Manage system upgrades and improvements, including testing code updates and roadmap changes.
• Improve data flows, enterprise integrations, reporting, automation, and self-service support.

Requirements

• 4+ years of IBM Planning Analytics development experience, version 2.0 or higher.
• Experience with server installation, system configuration, cube and application design, TI and Chores, Rules and Feeders, security, MDX, SQL, and the REST API.
• Hands-on experience with Python, TM1Py, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, stakeholder-management, and user-support skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with master data management solutions or Cognos BI integration.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
• Educational or professional background in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
