GL Accountant

Location: Remote, with residence in either the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zones

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Record financial transactions for multiple client companies in their accounting systems.
• Post customer payments and maintain accounts receivable aging reports.
• Enter and code vendor invoices, obtain payment authorization, and schedule payments.
• Reconcile bank records with general ledger accounts.
• Process online payroll and record payroll transactions.
• File sales and property taxes, complete client-specific accounting tasks, and track time for billing.

Requirements

• Located in either the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zones.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• Working knowledge of accrual-basis accounting and payroll requirements.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, cloud-based accounting automation tools, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication, time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and independent-work skills.
