Senior Accountant

Location: Boston, MA; office-based or hybrid options available.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 base salary per year. Pay may vary based on experience, education, and skills.

Develops shipment visibility solutions that help reduce delays, rejected loads, theft, damage, and spoilage across road, rail, ocean, and air transportation.

What you will do

• Manage monthly close activities, including reconciling domestic and international bank accounts, booking expense accruals, and recording income statement expense reallocations.
• Maintain balance sheet schedules, reconcile them to the Trial Balance Report, and investigate or record adjustments and reclasses in compliance with GAAP.
• Review general ledger account and department coding on vendor bills and provide backup support for accounts payable.
• Assist with financial reporting and perform general ledger account analysis to support internal controls.
• Ensure sales and VAT tax returns are prepared, filed, and paid on time.
• Complete audit PBC requests and perform ad hoc analyses and projects as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Solid understanding of United States generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex financial information to non-accounting individuals.
• Consistent adherence to deadlines and a detail-oriented approach to accounting tasks.
