Material Planning Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Arvada, Colorado, United States; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year, plus Restricted Stock Units.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a team of Material Planners.
• Develop material planning processes that support production schedules while optimizing inventory and reducing shortages.
• Manage inventory health, including safety stock, reorder points, excess inventory, obsolete materials, and Clear To Build reviews.
• Partner with Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, suppliers, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management to manage supply readiness and risks.
• Coordinate material readiness for new product introductions and production launches.
• Use ERP/MRP systems and performance reporting to improve planning accuracy, material availability, inventory turns, supplier delivery, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, or supply chain operations in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience leading material planning, inventory planning, or supply chain teams.
• Experience with MRP, inventory planning, supply planning, and replenishment strategies in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Strong analytical, supplier risk management, cross-functional collaboration, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization skills; experience with Power BI or Tableau is relevant.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth, advanced, or rapidly scaling manufacturing operations.
• Experience manufacturing electrical systems, modular infrastructure, data center equipment, or other complex industrial products.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles.
