Head of Manufacturing Engineering

Location: Weiterstadt, Germany (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Manage and lead a team of up to 10 production and manufacturing engineers.
• Analyze and improve production flows, including composites, trimming, painting, and assembly.
• Drive production efficiency by reducing costs, standardizing processes, and developing industrialization tools.
• Ensure effective simultaneous engineering across departments.
• Maintain process stability through work instructions, documentation, and validation.
• Support quality teams to ensure safe, standardized, and efficient production processes.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of proven experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Excellent proficiency in Catia, 3D experience software, and MS Office.
• Competence in Jira, Confluence, Linux, and Python.
• Project management certification (Prince2 or equivalent).
• Sophisticated communication skills in both German and English (C1 level).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of VBA.
• REFA method certification or similar time study experience.
