Supervisor, Patient Access & Pre-Access (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at HSHS - St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Illinois; applicants must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $47,400–$59,250 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Coordinate patient registration and pre-registration activities and monitor daily productivity.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop Patient Access staff while supporting orientation and performance evaluations.
• Track department metrics including point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, productivity, and staffing performance.
• Coordinate schedules, rotations, time off, call-offs, and on-call coverage while balancing productivity and overtime.
• Monitor upfront collection goals, conduct audits, provide corrective action, and support compliance and customer service.
• Manage process-improvement projects, participate in facility meetings, and provide operational support during staffing or volume needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) credentials.
• Ability to lead and direct others, analyze performance data, and use Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing.
• Ability to work on-site at HSHS - St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Illinois.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
• Advanced use of AI and experience managing teams through AI-driven process and technology improvements.
