Hardware Technician (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Carson, California, United States; travel to customer sites up to 30% of the time. Applicants must maintain U.S. work authorization throughout employment and meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Assemble hardware components and perform testing and experiments against design specifications.
• Configure, test, upgrade, and troubleshoot PLC cabinets and assemblies.
• Support electrical hardware enhancements, system integration, and occasional field installations.
• Document assembly processes, test procedures, and experiment results with engineering teams.
• Provide technical support and training for employees and customers using and troubleshooting hardware.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printers for prototyping and part production.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on hardware/software experience in manufacturing automation or a similar field.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and communicate complex information verbally and in writing.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage concurrent tasks, respond to emergencies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must secure and maintain U.S. work authorization from hire through the entire employment period.
• Must qualify under U.S. export-control requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on hardware/software experience in manufacturing automation.
• Experience with industrial facilities, complex cyber-physical systems, or test environments.
• Basic experience with ROS, Python, or C++.
