Software QA Engineer 3 (C++/Python)

Salary: $140,500–$210,700 USD per year, plus potential bonus

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for hirify.global SDK video codec software and hardware.
• Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing, nightly regressions, and release validation.
• Develop API-level test automation covering codec interfaces, functionality, and performance.
• Write C++ and Python test code for functional, regression, integration, performance, and stress testing.
• Investigate failures, triage bugs, and collaborate with codec developers to resolve issues and translate requirements into test plans.
• Improve automation infrastructure, reporting, scalability, monitoring, and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development in test, QA automation, or a related engineering role.
• Hands-on coding experience in C++ and Python.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Experience designing and implementing API test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing methodologies.
• Ability to debug complex issues across software and hardware layers and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Experience with video codec technologies such as H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1.
• Familiarity with AI agents or AI/LLM-based tools for test automation.
• Experience with GTest, Catch2, or Google Mock.
• Experience testing embedded systems, SDKs, or console and hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with performance benchmarking and profiling tools.
