Software Development Engineer in Test II (Python)

What you will do

• Review product requirements and design documents to create testing strategies for PlayStation features.
• Plan and execute UI quality assurance activities, including test plans and test cases.
• Build, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks and automation infrastructure.
• Develop continuous integration, automated testing, continuous deployment, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Manage Jenkins jobs, maintain PS5 devices used for testing, and report test statuses.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners, verify defect fixes, and support production deployments and post-release activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience building and executing test plans and test cases.
• Experience writing automated tests in Python, JavaScript, or another programming language.
• Understanding of test automation frameworks such as pytest and experience configuring CI test pipelines.
• Practical experience with Git, Jenkins, Appium, JIRA, and test case management systems such as QTest or QMetry.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience using Agile methodologies.
