TL;DR
Design Lead (Figma/design systems): Guiding designers and shaping complex digital product experiences for a flagship travel brand with an accent on creative direction, scalable design systems, and cross-disciplinary delivery. Focus on evolving component libraries, presenting concepts to clients, and mentoring designers while maintaining consistency and craft across digital platforms.
Location: Atlanta, United States; onsite twice a week with an Atlanta-based client. Candidates must be based in Atlanta or be open to relocation.

What you will do
- Provide hands-on creative direction and guide designers in creating digital product experiences.
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of complex design systems for scalable and consistent delivery.
- Shape the creative vision for digital platforms and products serving a diverse global user base.
- Collaborate with UX, strategy, and development teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Present creative concepts and design solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and mid-level designers while promoting creative excellence and conceptual thinking.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI design, art direction, or a related field, supported by a strong digital product portfolio.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, mentor, and develop design teams.
- Deep expertise in creating and evolving scalable design systems.
- Strong knowledge of user interface, application, mobile, and responsive design principles.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including advanced component and library management.
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting and defending creative work to clients and stakeholders.
