Senior Corporate Security Engineer

Location: Austin, Chicago, New York City, Salt Lake City, or San Francisco, United States

Annual salary: $134,000–$205,000 USD, with potential additional incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own key parts of the corporate security engineering roadmap across endpoints, identity, SaaS, email, collaboration, access, and data protection.
• Engineer endpoint security across macOS, Windows, and Linux fleets, including EDR coverage, hardening baselines, health, and containment readiness.
• Design identity and access controls including SSO, phishing-resistant MFA, passwordless authentication, conditional access, device trust, PAM, and joiner-mover-leaver processes.
• Develop email, collaboration, SaaS posture, OAuth governance, shadow SaaS, zero-trust, DLP, insider-risk, and corporate vulnerability management capabilities.
• Build automation, data ingestion pipelines, integrations, detection logic, workflows, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Partner with IT, DRE, People, Legal, GRC, Procurement, and engineering teams to implement practical security controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security data pipeline engineering, detection engineering, SIEM engineering, cyber intelligence and threat hunting, or security platform engineering.
• Proficiency with EDR/XDR tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender; CSPM platforms such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or Orca; and WAFs such as Cloudflare or Akamai.
• Experience deploying and maintaining zero-trust security platforms and controls.
• Experience building data ingestion pipelines with CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience building, testing, and tuning custom detection logic using query languages such as KQL, SQL, and SPL.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, mitigation strategies, analytical problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Nice to have

• Experience securing enterprise AI-tool usage through data-flow restrictions, sanctioned-tool models, OAuth governance, and telemetry hooks.
• Experience in a high-growth global SaaS company with a distributed workforce.
• Knowledge of identity-first security architectures, zero-trust access models, and KPI-driven security programs.
• Familiarity with adjacent detection and response workflows.
