Senior Security Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid at the Wilmington, Massachusetts headquarters, USA; no travel required.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 base annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven automations, internal applications, copilots, and workflow orchestration solutions.
• Build agentic workflows that retrieve context, reason through tasks, use approved tools, and produce actionable outputs.
• Automate security, compliance, and operational processes such as access reviews, software approvals, and evidence collection.
• Integrate workflows with ITSM, IAM, SIEM, SOAR, GRC, ticketing, vulnerability management, cloud security, and knowledge-management platforms.
• Develop human-in-the-loop approval patterns, reusable workflow components, and governance guardrails for high-risk AI actions.
• Partner with Security, IT, Engineering, Compliance, and business stakeholders; measure time savings, error reduction, throughput, and risk reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack depth across client, server, data/storage, and DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, prompt design, and AI-assisted development, including validation of AI-generated code.
• Strong development skills, ideally in Python, with REST APIs, webhooks, message queues, databases, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience building enterprise internal tools, automation workflows, or service integrations, plus knowledge of IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and audit logging.
• Ability to independently turn ambiguous business needs into documented production systems and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, ITSM, IAM, GRC, vulnerability management, endpoint security, or cloud security platforms.
• Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, control automation, penetration testing, or red-team tooling.
• Experience with TypeScript, Go, Rust, PostgreSQL, SQLite, BigQuery, or infrastructure as code.
