Atlas Technical Project Manager - Structures (Robotics)

Company

Develops humanoid robotics products, including the Atlas robot and its structural systems.

What you will do

• Coordinate the development lifecycle of humanoid robot structures, external paneling, and internal cabling from early design through mass production.
• Establish schedules within the master program plan, track performance, and communicate priorities and critical-path updates.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, and budgets with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Identify bottlenecks and delivery risks, adjust schedules, and implement contingency plans.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
• Lead design reviews and maintain documentation, change control, and versioning for structural components and cable harnesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering design.
• 2+ years of project management experience on a complex shipping product, preferably in robotics or automotive.
• Experience across product design and new product introduction, including design engineering, verification and validation, compliance, quality engineering, manufacturing logistics, and marketing.
• Strong project management and communication skills, including scheduling, milestones, tracking, consensus building, and stakeholder communication.
• Proficiency with waterfall project management tools such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mass-production techniques and lead times, including casting, stamping, extrusion, and injection molding.
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and vendor qualification for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
