Location: Hybrid role based remotely in Detroit, USA, with onsite work required at least two days per week. Up to 25% domestic travel is expected, including potentially frequent or extended visits to contract manufacturing partner sites and customer locations.
Salary: $135,000β$180,000 base annually, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do
- Lead manufacturing and third-party activities for autonomous robots, automated cells, and engineered structures.
- Coordinate product solution architects, quality engineers, technology providers, infrastructure teams, contractors, and external manufacturing partners.
- Manage production ramp-up and customer installation schedules, prioritizing technical issues by impact, risk, and release timing.
- Develop and maintain Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and identify mitigation measures for potential product failures.
- Lead quality activities including PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, process capability, engineering change requests, and corrective actions.
- Review system designs and manufacturing tasks to improve safety, reliability, lifecycle performance, and long-term customer value.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a masterβs degree is preferred.
- At least 12 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or automation development, preferably in robotics.
- Strong technical background in automation equipment deployment and expert project management experience with complex projects.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, sales and solutions teams, hardware and software engineers, clients, general contractors, architects, and subcontractors.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, mitigate risks, define problems, analyze data, and implement solutions under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera, and earned value management systems; a valid driverβs license is required.
