Head of People (AI Robotics)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; five days per week of in-office collaboration required

What you will do

• Lead and scale the People organization across Recruiting, People Operations, and HRBP.
• Build workforce planning, sourcing, assessment, candidate experience, executive recruiting, and talent-closing capabilities.
• Partner with leadership on organization structure, succession, decision rights, spans of control, and critical talent decisions.
• Develop systems for goals, feedback, performance, development, promotions, accountability, and leadership effectiveness.
• Scale HRIS, payroll, benefits, immigration, onboarding, policies, compliance, employee relations, and People analytics.
• Lead compensation, rewards, and AI-native organizational transformation across roles, workflows, skills, and operating practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive People leadership experience across multiple functions, including Recruiting, People Operations, HRBP, organization development, or total rewards.
• Experience scaling a fast-growing technology company through significant organizational change.
• Proven ability to recruit and close technical, research, and executive talent.
• Strong command of organization design, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and U.S. employment practices.
• Experience building high-performing, inclusive teams and expanding talent pipelines beyond established networks.
• Must be able to collaborate in the office five days per week in Milpitas, California.

• Experience in AI, robotics, autonomy, hardware, aerospace, or another deep-technology industry.
