Head of People (People Operations): Building scalable talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, culture, and HR operations systems for a growing industrial technology company with an accent on GTM and technical hiring, retention, and organizational scale. Focus on designing repeatable people infrastructure, implementing HRIS and ATS workflows, and building AI-enabled processes that improve productivity and team efficiency.
Location: New York City, United States; on-site workplace with a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance available for qualifying candidates.

What you will do
- Build and lead repeatable talent acquisition strategies for go-to-market and technical hiring.
- Manage external recruiters, mature hiring processes, and establish clear recruiting outcomes.
- Design retention, people development, feedback, compensation, and culture systems.
- Own and improve performance review cycles, feedback loops, leveling, and compensation frameworks.
- Advise leadership on culture, organizational challenges, and people-related decisions during company growth.
- Drive operational excellence across payroll, benefits, HR systems, and AI-enabled people workflows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading People teams.
- Experience partnering directly with founders and executive leadership.
- Success scaling talent acquisition at growth-stage startups from approximately 50 to 100+ employees.
- Experience designing performance cycles, leveling frameworks, compensation frameworks, and compensation philosophies.
- Experience with HR information systems such as Rippling and applicant tracking systems such as Lever.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience with cross-functional collaboration.
