TL;DR

Location: Onsite in South Burlington, Vermont, United States

Salary: $95,000–$160,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Design and develop electronic systems for flight controls, motor control, and battery management.
  • Capture schematics and design digital circuits using ICs, ADCs, microprocessors, memory devices, and serial data bus transceivers.
  • Design EMI/EMC filters to meet DO-160G requirements and analyze power, signal conditioning, and thermal performance.
  • Design and test inverter motor control circuits, including analog simulation with LTSpice.
  • Build and test prototype hardware, develop bed-of-nails test fixtures, and write hardware test procedures.
  • Review PCB layouts, coordinate with contract manufacturers, research electronic components, and support sourcing.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics design and schematic capture using Altium or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience with electrical simulation tools.
  • Experience with digital circuits, PCB development, laboratory test equipment, and electronic hardware analysis.

Nice to have

  • Experience with KiCad, PCB123, or Altium rapid prototyping tools.
  • Experience designing power supply topologies, zero-voltage-switching topology, or using ANSYS Maxwell.
  • PCB layout and assembly standards knowledge.
  • Experience with Git, microcontroller configuration, requirements-based design, and transfer-function analysis.
  • Pilot’s license or an interest in aviation.
