Senior Buyer (Toys)

What you will do

• Develop and execute the Toys department strategy to grow sales, brands, suppliers, and new product listings.
• Source and prioritize new brands and suppliers based on market trends, consumer demand, and the growth plan.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and trading terms, and oversee supplier service-level agreements.
• Manage departmental financial and service-level performance, including sales, margins, listing availability, and stock cover.
• Plan promotions, source deals, manage site merchandising, and oversee replenishment orders and product availability.
• Support operations and customer service by addressing product queries, returns, complaints, delivery performance, and product quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related retail buying, commerce, or e-commerce experience.
• Experience buying for the Toys category.
• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Science or Commerce.
• If the qualification requirement is not met, at least 8 years of related retail, commerce, or e-commerce experience is required.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical and critical-thinking skills, and the ability to use data for decision-making.
• Strong buying-planning, prioritization, supplier relationship management, and teamwork skills.
