Location: Remote; the salary range is specific to Washington State. The position is subject to U.S. Government export control reviews, and applicants may need to identify U.S. citizenship, nationality, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident status.

Salary: $138,685–$171,206 annually, specific to Washington State.

What you will do

  • Implement supplier surveillance and material acceptance plans for complex and first-of-a-kind procurements.
  • Conduct shop visits, in-process surveillances, witness and hold-point activities, and supplier inspections.
  • Prepare concise supplier quality surveillance reports documenting fabrication activities.
  • Assess nuclear quality programs and resolve technical and quality issues with suppliers.
  • Monitor dispositions, corrections, and documented evidence of satisfactory issue closeout.
  • Partner with Supply Chain management to resolve deficiencies and maintain project milestones and schedules.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a nuclear NRC or DOE supplier quality function.
  • Experience in an NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated environment.
  • Extensive experience with supplier quality in manufacturing or fabrication environments.
  • Knowledge of surveillance, process qualifications, welding, inspections, and QC data package reviews.
  • Working knowledge of NQA-1 requirements and a strong auditing background.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical, business, management, or quality assurance discipline; willingness to travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Current Lead Auditor certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with ASME, ASNT, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC, and IEEE codes, standards, and guides.
