Squad Master/Product Owner (Digital Banking)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid working. Candidates must currently reside in Belgium and be legally authorized to work there with a valid work permit or visa where applicable.

What you will do

• Drive the evolution of current account packs as a flagship product initiative balancing customer value, market differentiation, risk, and recurring fee income.
• Manage the squad backlog, feature intake, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, stakeholder communication, and quarterly business review requests.
• Lead change initiatives related to current accounts and ensure day-to-day operational activities are delivered to a high standard.
• Develop expertise in current accounts and shape the product with the customer at the center while operating within ING’s risk appetite.
• Understand and improve digital customer journeys, supporting deliveries and removing obstacles when needed.
• Coach squad members, support their development, and contribute to squad performance.

Requirements

• Current residence in Belgium and legal authorization to work in Belgium are required.
• Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or Digital Product Management.
• 6+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Customer Journey Management.
• Proven experience managing a product backlog and leading Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong knowledge of strategic vision, digital banking, and current accounts, with the ability to balance customer value, risk, and commercial objectives.
• Leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and data-driven prioritization skills.
