Senior Architect / Senior Designer (3D Printing)

Location: Based at hirify.global’s Austin, Texas campus or Miami, Florida campus

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of hirify.global’s concrete 3D-printed wall system, focusing on comfort, safety, performance, and sustainability.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams through schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Produce drawing packages, construction documents, wall assembly drawings, building envelope details, and construction sequencing diagrams.
• Coordinate windows, doors, waterproofing, weatherization, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with the printed wall system.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, material scientists, software engineers, print technicians, and construction operations.
• Support experimentation with innovative wall profiles, configurations, and emerging construction technologies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in complex, multidisciplinary design projects.
• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Google Suite, and Adobe Suite.
• Experience coordinating all design phases and disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Strong construction administration experience, including RFI and submittal review.
• Working knowledge of IRC and IBC codes, ADA guidelines, FHA requirements, concrete design and construction, specifications, and AAMA/ASTM building-envelope testing standards.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Grasshopper, Dynamo, and other parametric or computational design tools.
• Experience with prototype testing, materials research, or novel building systems.
• Experience managing BIM standards, digital workflows, external consultants, or testing laboratories.
• Experience with 3D printing, robotics, prefabrication, or modular construction.
• Familiarity with code compliance testing, ICC-ES reports, or material certification processes.
