Command Center Specialist (Nights)

What you will do

• Monitor dashboards, data centers, incidents, changes, service requests, and operational metrics including hash price, energy, and Bitcoin.
• Document major incidents, notify recovery teams, and communicate impactful events to clients and leadership.
• Prepare concise situational reports and briefing materials.
• Monitor physical security, suspicious activity, access control systems, identity management, and facilities access.
• Coordinate with onsite teams during emergencies such as severe weather, fire, and active-shooter situations.
• Improve operational effectiveness, standard operating procedures, and customer support.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or 3 years of relevant data center support experience.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of Windows and IT troubleshooting across network, platform, and storage systems.
• Experience with IP cameras and access control systems.
• Experience or certification with Genetec Security Software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently in stressful situations.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and basic data center principles.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, Slack, Zabbix, Sigma, or Zoom.
• General electrical engineering knowledge.
• Understanding of ITIL service delivery concepts.

Culture & Benefits

• Full-time onsite role in a data center, office, and shop environment.
• 12-hour night shifts following a rotating schedule of three or four days on and three or four days off.
• Night, weekend, and holiday work is required.
• Minimal travel between data centers may be required.
• Work involves exposure to hot and cold environments, maintenance equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
