TL;DR
Head of People & Performance (Robotics/Construction): Scaling talent, performance, compensation, equity, and people leadership as an autonomous construction robotics company grows from around 100 employees to several hundred, with an accent on founder partnership, strategic hiring, and hands-on cross-functional problem solving. Focus on building performance and equity cycles, coaching managers, identifying team gaps, and designing people systems without diluting the startup culture.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; onsite five days a week

What you will do
- Own high-priority special projects across software, workshop, operations, and deployment teams.
- Translate team strengths and gaps into hiring plans, project assignments, and senior hiring decisions with the founders.
- Build talent-spotting practices and identify internal and external candidates who can thrive at .
- Run performance reviews, calibration, compensation decisions, and equity cycles.
- Coach managers and technical leads, support difficult performance conversations, and redesign the soft 1:1 system.
- Lead the People team and scale the people experience as the company grows beyond 100 employees.
Requirements
- Experience as a quantitative operator, Chief of Staff, BizOps or strategy leader, founder, founder’s-office generalist, or People leader who has owned ambiguous 0-to-1 problems.
- Ability to model compensation bands, equity refreshers, cash-versus-equity trade-offs, and their effects on the cap table.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to scope and deliver projects without an existing owner.
- Experience coaching managers, giving direct feedback, running effective 1:1s, and handling difficult conversations with care.
- Comfort working in a technical environment and understanding engineering, manufacturing, and construction operations.
- Fluent English required; Dutch is a plus. Ability to understand the Dutch legal framework, including contracts, offboarding, long-term sick leave, and bad-leaver events.
Nice to have
- Experience with the people side of physical industries, including safety, cultural dynamics, and onsite realities.
- Dutch language skills.
