Semiconductor Tools Installations & Bay Fit-up Upgrades Project Manager

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel required 10% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $110,500–$152,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Lead the design, planning, construction, start-up, and commissioning of advanced semiconductor R&D laboratory upgrades and tool installations in Silicon Valley.
• Oversee facility project managers and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, construction, and commissioning.
• Order long-lead equipment and materials and review engineering submittals, layouts, design criteria, and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with business units, architecture and engineering firms, Facilities Operations, EH&S, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage permitting, inspections, building-code compliance, approvals, RFIs, bids, scopes of work, and construction safety.
• Develop capital approval proposals, performance metrics, process improvements, and a global platform for R&D tool hook-up teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor, thin films, or a similar industry.
• Experience with highly technical facility planning, design, and construction.
• Proven success managing semiconductor tool installations in R&D facilities.
• Prior management experience and experience leading project management teams or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Strong management presence with the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.
• Experience selecting, developing, and managing tool hook-up service providers.
• Strong computer skills, including moderate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilities.
• Ability to analyze data, reduce project cycle times, manage complex stakeholder environments, improve business processes, manage suppliers, and translate complex technical requirements into constructible work packages.
• Good financial accounting practices, including capital-versus-expense management and scope funding gap review.
