Senior Process Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; Cincinnati is listed as the role location. Minimal travel may be required, including work at client sites.

What you will do

• Develop process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, P&IDs, process calculations, and standard operating procedures.
• Specify and size process equipment, instruments, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, distillation columns, and safety relief systems.
• Guide equipment arrangements and piping routes with process designers and coordinate with equipment vendors.
• Conduct safety studies and facilitate or participate in process hazard analyses.
• Serve as the technical lead for interdisciplinary project coordination and provide input to other engineering disciplines.
• Delegate process engineering tasks to associate and process engineers while supporting their development.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of relevant process engineering experience, including more than 6 years on multidisciplinary specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, and/or bio-fuels projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Solid site experience and familiarity with scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Advanced leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work an average of 40 hours per week, with occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or engineering license.
• Working knowledge of clean water systems, dry material handling, aspiration, and dust control.
• Knowledge of cGMP clean design practices and sustainable animal feedstock material handling.
