Injection Engineering Manager

Location: Full-time onsite in St. Landry, Louisiana, or hybrid/remote from within the United States. Remote or hybrid candidates must travel to the site approximately 50–75% of the time; relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to Louisiana.

hirify.global develops carbon-removal operations based on bio-oil injection and is scaling its first operational injection facility to future sites.

What you will do

• Lead structured troubleshooting of pumps, filtration, viscosity, pressure, flow, and injection issues during abnormal operating conditions.
• Make real-time decisions on filtration strategy, heating and viscosity management, recirculation versus injection, escalation, and stop-work authority.
• Own the onsite interface for PLC, HMI, automation, and downhole-sensor changes from controls and automation engineering teams.
• Drive operational reliability, process optimization, data collection, monitoring, and the sample and laboratory program.
• Maintain shift handovers, engineering communications, abnormal-event investigations, lessons learned, and transferable process documentation.
• Partner with the Operations Supervisor on scheduling, payroll and timecards, training systems, SOPs, staffing continuity, and 24/7 operational readiness.

Requirements

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical depth through field operations experience.
• At least 7 years of operating experience in produced-water injection, SWD, EOR, chemical processing, midstream liquids handling, refining, or comparable fluid-systems operations.
• Experience troubleshooting complex industrial fluid systems involving pumps, filters, viscosity, pressure, flow, or injection.
• Direct supervisory experience leading crews of 20–40 operators across shifts.
• Experience managing schedules, payroll or timecards, training programs, SOPs, and workforce planning.
• Ability to relocate or commit to a long-stay rotation in rural Louisiana for the 1–2 year assignment; valid driver’s license and ability to pass background, drug, and physical screening required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Class I, II, V, or VI injection wells and downhole pressure and temperature interpretation.
• Refinery, terminal, downstream oil, tanks, pumps, compressors, or filtration experience.
• Experience with PLC/HMI-controlled facilities and controls-engineering change management.
• Experience with ADP, Kronos, UKG, SOPs, MOCs, incident investigations, and abnormal-event reports.
• Experience scaling operations teams into fully staffed 24/7 organizations or working with bio-oil and other unconventional feedstocks.
