Video Producer Fellowship

Location: New York, NY; the position is based in hirify.global’s NYC offices.

What you will do

• Support video production, editing, research, administration, and logistics across multiple newsroom coverage areas.
• Identify news topics suitable for strong social video across geopolitics, climate, technology, science, culture, business, finance, and politics.
• Collaborate with reporters, editors, producers, and the wider editorial organization to create and publish videos across hirify.global’s channels.
• Adapt reported stories into scripts for social video while maintaining high journalistic standards.
• Assist on-site or virtually during hirify.global events and help publish newsworthy clips from live interviews.
• Provide production and editing support throughout the continuous news cycle.

Requirements

• Passion for quality video production and business journalism.
• Broad interest in world events and a wide range of subjects.
• Willingness to take on varied tasks and responsibilities in a growing newsroom.
• Strong experience with Adobe, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Understanding of different video platforms and audience expectations.
• Must retain the right to work where you live.
